Hermes Press continues its long association with the original Gothic suspense television series "Dark Shadows" with the publication of the first-ever photographic art book devoted to the cult favorite which made sympathetic vampire Barnabas Collins a household name. Dark Shadows debuted June 27, 1966 on ABC-TV as the first daytime drama styled in the tradition of a Gothic novel. The show was the dream of producer Dan Curtis, who brought an exciting new format to the weekday schedule of standard fare soap operas. The pages in the volume feature images shot in black-and-white, spanning the series’ earliest days – before ghosts and vampires, when Dark Shadows most closely resembled a 1940s noir film – through its final episodes. As the series took a more fanciful direction, many of the plots retained an underlying tension and tone faithful to its origins, serving up a special hybrid... Dark Shadows NOIR. Featuring 256 pages, DARK SHADOWS NOIR features stunning full-page mono-chromatic images from the legendary television program, including dozens of previously unseen images from the archive of "Dark Shadows" creator Dan Curtis Productions. For 1,225 episodes, "Dark Shadows" thrilled over 20 million viewers during its five-year run with imaginative stories devoted to hidden mysteries, lost loves, time travel and supernatural characters. Late creator-executive producer Dan Curtis drew upon classic mystery, horror and romance tales ranging from "Jane Eyre" and "The Crucible" to "Wuthering Heights" to "Turn of the Screw" to enthrall captivated audiences. The ground-break sets, elaborate costumes and atmospheric lighting depicted on the series will be on stunning display in DARK SHADOWS NOIR with all images scanned in high resolution from original 35mm negatives and vintage fiber prints for rich CMYK reproduction of superior quality. Comic books available during the open-order period are typically offered at 25% off cover price. Pre-orders must be placed before the applicable Final Order Cutoff (FOC) deadline to receive available pre-order pricing.
Once a comic book passes FOC, the sale is final and the order cannot be canceled. At that point, State of Comics has committed to purchasing inventory from our distributors based on customer orders.
Release dates, cover artwork, creative teams, product descriptions, variants and other information are supplied by publishers and distributors and may change without notice.
Orders containing multiple products will generally ship once all items in the order are available.

Damaged or Incorrect Items:
If you receive an incorrect item or an item significantly different from its advertised condition, please contact us within 7 business days of delivery. Shipping damage claims must also be reported within 7 business days.
Collectible Condition:
Minor shelf wear, manufacturing imperfections, cosmetic blemishes, or packaging wear may occur with graphic novels, manga, books, action figures, statues and other merchandise and are not necessarily considered defects.
