Clover Press and The Library of American Comics’ new deluxe softcover slipcase series, collecting all of Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man classic newspaper comics. Each volume collects a full year of newspaper strips, from January 1 through December 31. Every edition is printed in an 11” x 8.5” landscape format softcover book that slides into a vertically oriented die-cut slipcase! The fabulous fourth year of Spider-Man’s newspaper adventures! Written by Stan Lee, this volume features the final year of artwork by the legendary John Romita and presents the very first strips illustrated by Larry Lieber. The action-packed strips are reprinted just as readers experienced them nationwide, with the full-color Sunday pages integrated with the dailies! 1980 begins with Peter Parker in the midst of a crisis of conscience as he gives up his life as Spider-Man! When Aunt May’s life is threatened, he must find a way to save her without his costume. The challenges keep coming as the Kingpin is released from prison and clashes with Spidey once more, and a new adversary emerges in the form of the Protector!

Pre-Orders & Final Order Cutoff
Pre-ordering is the best way to guarantee the comics and collectibles you don't want to miss.
Comic books available during the open-order period are typically offered at 25% off cover price. Pre-orders must be placed before the applicable Final Order Cutoff (FOC) deadline to receive available pre-order pricing.
Once a comic book passes FOC, the sale is final and the order cannot be canceled. At that point, State of Comics has committed to purchasing inventory from our distributors based on customer orders.
Release dates, cover artwork, creative teams, product descriptions, variants and other information are supplied by publishers and distributors and may change without notice.
Orders containing multiple products will generally ship once all items in the order are available.
Publisher cancellations, distributor allocations, shortages and other circumstances outside our control can occasionally prevent us from fulfilling a pre-order. If this occurs, we will communicate any changes and issue applicable refunds. State of Comics
