The Demon By Jack Kirby: Absolute Edition HC
The Demon By Jack Kirby: Absolute Edition HC is a book from DC Comics. Featuring written by Jack Kirby, art by Jack Kirby.
Forged in the final embers of ancient legend and reborn in the modern age, Etrigan the Demon stands as one of Jack Kirby’s most striking creations—a being of fury and poetry, torn between worlds of mortal struggle and supernatural terror. With Jason Blood as his unwilling human counterpart, Kirby crafts a dark fantasy tapestry steeped in mysticism, gothic atmosphere, and the primal cost of wielding infernal power.Across these sixteen landmark issues, Kirby introduces demonic adversaries, occult conspiracies, and otherworldly forces that crash against the modern world with operatic intensity. From sorcerers hungry for forbidden power to creatures dredged from eldritch dimensions, every chapter pulses with the signature dynamism, visual force, and narrative boldness that defined Kirby’s DC tenure.Presented in the oversized Absolute format on uncoated paper, this edition highlights the full scope of Kirby’s horror-infused vision—from explosive action and intricate linework to the eerie, lyrical tone that made Etrigan an instant icon. Also included is the Demon’s Who’s Who entry, offering additional context and artwork from Kirby and fellow Bronze Age greats.Collects Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #6; The Demon #1–16.
