Prerelease events allow players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards, instead of the standard 60-card deck with six Prize cards. This format is perfect for introducing new players to the Pokémon TCG with quick, fun games, while also giving experienced players an early look at everything Mega Evolution - Pitch Black has to offer. Because players build their decks using a limited pool of cards, Prerelease events are also a great opportunity to get creative and test your deck-building skills.
Each Build & Battle Box includes four Mega Evolution - Pitch Black booster packs and a 40-card ready-to-play deck featuring key cards from current and previous sets, along with one of four unique foil promo cards that can help shape your strategy for the event.
